Joshua and Victoria are no strangers to acclaim. For over a decade, they ran Le Cochon Aveugle and its sister wine bar Cave du Cochon in York, earning national recognition and building a loyal following for their creative cooking and warm hospitality. In 2023, their new venture Mýse quickly made its mark, awarded a Michelin Star within its first year — a testament to their vision, hard work, and deep respect for provenance.
Dining at Mýse is a refinement of simplicity and local pride. Menus are shaped by “Time and Place,” reflecting what’s available each day from regenerative farms, foraged finds, and trusted suppliers. Expect house-made charcuterie, dry-aged meats, infusions, and ferments, paired with wines and thoughtful non-alcoholic options curated by Victoria. Every detail, from bespoke tableware to the rhythm of the courses, tells a story of craft and care.
The restaurant occupies a beautifully restored 19th-century inn. Inside, you’ll find a fire-lit snug, open kitchen drama, rustic beams, and three inviting en-suite rooms upstairs, so the experience can linger into the next morning.
